Default 3 starters gone bad - 1994 850 turbo

I have now replaced the starter 3 times in the past month. After putting new one in, it starts runs for a day or two then quits. All connections are tight and right. Could it be a short somewhere? Should I try replacing the battery cables?
Thanks for any help. The car runs great and I don't want to give it up.

Where are you getting the starters? My guess would be that you are shorting them out. Not sure how that is possible. It only gets power for a few seconds. If it were engauging to long or while you were driving you would hear it. Try to get one from a junk yard.

If they are from a parts store it's really unlikely you could get three that are bad. I just don't have any idea what could take out three starters in such a short time unless they were staying engauged and you'd hear that.
Do you have the starters that wouldn't start the car tested to make sure they were bad?

+1 on the testing but I have run info that problem on other vehicles. Change where your getting them from. My trouble was a back-alley rebuild that was the store's supplier.

Did you verify the starter was bad before you took it out and got another one? Just because your car doesn't crank doesn't necessarily mean your starter is bad...
