Default 850 Auto trans seal leak

I have an 850 with an automatic trans that has just started leaking at the transmission output shaft seal. It at least looks like it is from the seal.

Can it be replaced in the car?

Do you mean it is leaking from one of the axles?

Yes, it is leaking from where the black tube going to the passenger side wheel meets the transmission. This is located almost directly above the trans drain plug.

Yes you can replace that seal without removing the trans. You will just need to pull the axle.

Thanks very much.

The axle removal looks fairly straight forward. I cleaned the area up and will hopefully confirm the leak source after a few days running. I hope it isn't the engine rear seal with oil being flung out of the exposed flywheel area above the axle, but it looks like ATF.
