RE: 850 T5R
Well my parents are being a real piece of work, so they say that they are not allowing me to change the car(since i was gonna use 4.5k from the 940), so for now im not changing the car, next june, i will be able to purchase one without needing the 940 money, so they will not be able to tell me what to do, bad luck for me, but hey, what can you do right? by the end of this year im going to have 4k cash, so maybe by june ill have 6k or so to buy a car

RE: 850 T5R
I think your parents might be making a good move. The 940 looks to be in good shape. The T5R does not. You could end up pouring more money into that car than it's worth. I bet if you find a car in really good shape, your parents will probably approve of buying it. One thing I have always said about Volvo's is that I wish they were still rear wheel drive. Your 940 is one of the last rear wheel drives made.

I prefer RWD, i never got used to FWD and they dont want to change the car because my dad says that he bought the car for 35k back in '95 for my mom and that if the car was good enough for my mom is good enough for me, that its a very good car(which it is) and that for now i dont have to change it.
They didnt even see the 850, maybe in 1 year when i change the car my 940, then the price will be a lot less , but i'm not sure want a 12 year old car again eheh, maybe an S70 T5
My car is in PERFECT conditions on the inside and on the outside as well, well the bumpers are scratched, but you cant really notice. But i hate the engine the 940 have, SO SLOWWWWWW

940 is more sophicated and luxurious than the 850. Girls like sophicated and luxurious. Girls do NOT like driving fast.
Owning and driving your own 940 is a good thing. Perhaps, you could buy a S70 or S60 T5 in a couple of years -- and still keep your classic 940.

RE: 850 T5R
Thats true, and, why do you say its more luxurious? No sunroof, No leather.....Its just bigger...But thats a good idea, Maybe in a couple of years i might keep my 940,since i take good care of it and on the inside is in perfect conditions, ill take pics later and post them...maybe ill keep it and buy an S70 or S60 t5...Also, there is one more problem, since i live in a building, we only have 3 parking spaces, if i decide to keep my 940 i will have to pay $75 dollars a month to rent one :/ so thats a big no-no...

Hello Tupapison!
Of course, we girls love the sophicated and luxurious 940! hahaha!! But, some really do like to go fast (guilty)! I've read the replies and they are all excellent advices. Wait for another car to come along, the world takes many turns and maybe a great car is just around the corner.
Don't be sad, the 850 looks like it has spent a lot of time in the sun and if the interior looks that bad, I don't want to know what other problems could it have. Patience is your only weapon, and baby... only a slow 940 teaches you that! Hehe!!
