Last night I installed a new starter in my daugher's 1995 8950 volvo.
the starter will crank but the car will not start.
Any suggestions?

Just wondering, why did you install a new starter?

Other than that, you have spark and fuel. Did you leave something disconnected? Are you getting spark? Do you still have good fuel pressure?

 

Did you pull the intake manifold to get the starter in or did you pull the cooling fan?
Have you checked for spark?

 

Usually 850 s wont start because of bad fuel pumps or bad fuel pressure regulators.

Maybe you didnt have to replace the starter in the first place.

Personally Id go with removing the cooling fan over the intake manifold unless i was due for a pvc cleaning. Less chance of causung vacume leaks.
