'94 850 non turbo randomly stalling
twice in the last month my volvo has randomly died (both times have been while idle) but started back up eventually. the CEL did go off at the same time the SRS light came on (had airbag disabled). however, i think a new CEL code may be present due to the new symptom.
i have a few questions regarding this:
1) how do i pull the CEL code?
2) i did use a bottle of lucas fule treatment. so far, no stalls since i used it (its been 5 days since the last stall)
3) whats the worst case scenario? how hard would it be to replace anything on the fuel line (im a beginner mechanic with a decent set of tools)
many thanks!

alright. so i got the codes pulled. heres what came up:
2-2-3 - IAC Valve Signal Absent Or Faulty
i had an IACV on my 94 honda accord that when it finally kicked it, my car did this funny loppy idle.. it would go from 600 to 1100, then back to 600 in about a second and a half. so far, my volvo has no idle issues at all. where is the IAC located and how does one go about cleaning it?
next code:
1-2-1 - MAF Sensor Signal Absent Or Faulty
no brainer here. my question is, what do i use to clean the MAF before i order a new one? furthermore, my MAF is this weird cartridge that sits into the intake housing. it doesnt look like the MAF that was on my 89 760 turbo at all.

alright. retested the codes. in slots 1 and 2, im getting no errors. restarted car, CEL still present and now ABS light is on.
checked other connections (3, 6 and 7)
got the following codes:
2-4-1
1-2-2
1-4-4
i have no clue what 1-2-2 is but i know what 2-4-1 and 1-4-4 is.
ive managed to clear all but 2-4-1. its in slot 6 and refuses to clear. is there any way i can force it to clear by disconnecting the battery?

ive decided to devote tomorrow to cleaning out my intake system. aside from the air filter, what areas can i look at and what kinds of chemicals will i need?
i want to clean out the EGR valve and the IACV tomorrow. what other components can i clean out that might be causing my stall issue?

alright. so i took apart the intake system, cleaned out everything i could get my fat fingers on.
reset all 6 ports in the service light area. FINALLY! CEL is off. the last code that was being stubborn was the 2-4-1 EGR code. hopefully it tripped due to my MAF being really dirty.
i cleaned out the MAF and pretty much any vacuume line, replaced ones that looked old or brittle.
lets see how long the CEL stays off.
on a separate note, how do i diagnose the SRS light?

CEL did not stay off long. however, a small bit of good news is the only code being thrown now is 2-4-1 (low EGR flow).
ive bought a new socket set, new wrench set, couple bottles of carb cleaner and some new rags. tomorrow, i shall dismantle the intake system, remove the EGR and clean it something fierce.
already well aware of the hole right inside the intake that needs a good scrubbing due to massive carbon build up. since cleaning my MAF, my car stalled once but started right back up.
time to finish the job and clean out the intake system! any pointers / hints? i will be taking pix as i go along.
