Default 94 850 turbo

Hi all,

Anyone know where the fuel pressure regulator is on this vehicle I cant seem to find the location after looking?

Car stalled out today after leaving for vacation, plugs cap rotor, wires, fuel relay and fuel pump all done before i left. I have spark, no fuel to rail, i am thinking fuel regulator or filter?

thanks

Could be the fuel pump. It's in back underneath the trunk IIRC.

The fulel pump was changed this week as well as the relay.
Are you saying the regulator is under the trunk as well?

Whoops, misread that part.

It might be. There are a couple holes in the trunk with covers on them where the fuel pump is, the regulator might be there. Don't quote me on that, I'm only mostly sure about the pump.

The fuel pressure regulator is under the fuel rail. If you pull the fuel rail out, you will see it attached to the bottom of the rail.

Beware of aftermarket (generic) fuel pumps. I had 3 bad ones before I finally put a VOLVO OEM fuel pump in.

this new fuel pump is a Walboro pump. I heard they were ok. Also I can hear the pump go on when I turn the key to the number 2 position. If I can hear the pump go on its okay right?

You are on right track to replace the regulator first and fuel filter which is located underneath car on fuel tank filler side of vehicle. I mention the pump as a culprit since you say there is no fuel to the rail. If after you replace the regulator and the fuel filter then you may have no place else to look to but a faulty fuel pump.

The regulator is not in play at this point. It regulates pressure at the rail. If you disconnect the fuel line from the rail and there is not fuel squirting when you turn on the key then the problem is in the back of the car not the front.
