94 Wagon odometer jumps numbers
Hey Guys I'm a proud owner of a 94 Regent Red wagon non turbo with 128000 miles. I bought it with 123000 miles and few months later the odometer stopped working. I just finished doing the fix on it and odometer is working but wierd. Well the odometer really doesn't jump or skip numbers it sort of being hesitant when it's rolling through. I did not have the proper lube when reassembling so i just put back the way it was. I only drove it a few miles when I noticed it. I'm not a newbie wrenching on cars on I purchased this car because it's been dealer serviced since day one so it's very well kept. The car is a gem. No rust and it just has a few of the common issues we experience having these cars: Driver seat warmer not working, a/c blower resistor needs replaced, air recycler flap not closing, parking brake shoes, rear hatch needed the shocks and door kit. Stupid stuff like that, nothing major. I already fixed most of the stuff. The guy I bought it from didn't want put more money into it to fix these issues because he was quoted close to what the car was worth.
Should I take apart the odmeter and lube it with gear lube or let it be?
Thanks guys

I am having the same issue with my odometer. The numbers stick-jump-stick-jump-stick-jump...
I thought the odometer was on the way out, but if you just fixed yours, perhaps it's just lost lubrication?
