Default 97 GLS Turbo Questions

Hello Everyone! New to the forum and new to volvos. I just picked up a 97 850 GLT. car is in great shape, runs good, needs little things. Ive been doing research on adding a larger turbo. I believe I have a stock 13g? and want to switch to the 15g. I can locate a new refurb unit, TD04HL-15g part number 49189-01320, for a reasonable price. I can also locate just the center cartridge. So my question is can i fit the 15g cartridge into the 13g housings?

Please and thanks!

Got it - a 24 year old Volvo 850 (Sedan/Station Wagon, does not matter)

And you want to modify it so it has up to 18 more HP at 6000 rpms? I bet that will lower you ET by .03 seconds! Put a boost gauge on it also - so you watch that instead of the cars in front of you! Cool!

For how much? And the car is worth how much when you total it, because the brakes and worn out suspension/tires can't stop that extra 18 HP?

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and I have done worse dumb stuff than that. Welcome to the forums.
