Default AC Compressor

Hi guys,
I have a 95 850 and tried the ac today and for some reason the compressor did not come on. I tried gasing it up to see if it needed gas but the compressor. i called my mechanic and he said they may not be current going to it. The fuse is good. How can I know if there current there or what do you think is my problem.

95 850

In the pipe by the firewal is a low pressure switch. Unplug it and see if there is power there.
Use a test light to check for power.

Well, I finally got a chance to check the system. My friend tried putting some freon in and we discovered that there was a leak in the reciever tank. The previous owner hit it and it had a giant hole.
i'll keep you posted
