Another PCV System Question
I have a 94 850 N/A that I just bought. The previous owner told me that the PCV system needed replaced, so instead of doing it the right way, he made some kind of bypass From what info I have gathered here, when that system gets clogged up, the dipstick tube and oil fill will have oil blowing up through it. Mine still does it. Shouldn't the "bypass" keep that from happening, or am I thinking wrong?? I still plan on replacing everything and making it correct, but does anyone have an idea on what this guy was trying to accomplish? If you want some pics to show what he did, let me know and I will get some. The oil leaks on this car are getting crazy and want to know if this has something to do with it.

I need to get a better look to see where it is coming from. Is there a good chance that it could have blown out any easier to replace seals/gaskets? If it is the rear main seal, could that eventually help wipe out the clutch with oil getting on it? Also, does the trans have to come out to replace the seal?

I dont know what the previous owner did, but there is some stuff I noticed wrong when changing this stuff. I am not sure if this is the name, but there is a piece missing inside the flame trap. It is the piece with a bunch of tiny holes going through it. I also think it was missing a little line going from the flame trap to what I think is supposed to go to the oil trap. Also, there is a vacuum line line with a screw stuffed in it. I will be getting a pic of that to see if anyone knows where it is supposed to go. So far, this car does not seem to be ghetto rigged too much.
