Default Bad Water pump or thermostat

I have a coolant leak I can't find and when I run the car the the coolant does not move when it gets to temp. I think the pressure builds up and it leaks back at the resevoir. I took off the timing belt cover and there was no leak around the water pump. The leak hole was clean.

Any advice?

I would start with a thermostat.

Not to sure about temp it also depends where you live.
Maybe someone in your area will chime in with a good temp one for you.

Default Thermostat

Pulled the thermostat last night and it was broken on the top. Replaced it and should be okay. Thanks. Ordered a haynes manual to take a crack at serpentine belt

Default expansion tank

Finally found a leak on the tank. Replaced it with a new one from FCP. Looks like it is not leaking now. Plastic was real brittle from heat. Help is great on the forum.

Just keep an eye on the coolant level for a few days to make sure all is well.
