Is the procedure for bleeding brakes any different for vehicles with antilock brakes? this is a '97 850.
If I pump the brakes once while driving , the pedal pressure is good. but it feels like the pedal travels too far if you don't pump the brakes once. I've bled the brakes the "old fashioned" way, but read somewhere you may have to do something with the antilock system before bleeding brakes.
Also, who makes less squeaky brakes than the Bendix brakes I have on there now? (I put bendix pads/rotors on 6 months ago, so I'd rather replace just the pads, but also open to advice too)

Sounds like you still have air in the lines.I would bleed them again.Start at the R/R tire do that one first then L/R then R/F then L/F.Make sure you have someone helping you and make sure they hold the pedal all the way down till you close the bleeder.On these cars with abs there is nothing special you have to do.As far as the pads i don't use anything but Volvo pads they are quiet and stop so much better than the after market pads.
