Default blower fan

The blower fan in my 97 850 T5 is sqealing intermitenly. My question is should I try to lube the bearingwith machine oil or graphite or will I just be wasting my time? Also where is the blower fan located?
Thanks
John

Some people have successfully lubed the motor, while others, including myself had to replace the blower at about $140 (Behr, German OEM). See attached for location.

You will need Torx tools and do your homework, especially on the pax-side SRS.

I lubed mine successfully, but others have not. Follow JPN's great instructions. I do have a rebuilt blower motor and cage fan assemblyif you need one.
