hey guys,l need help,l am trying to flush my brake fluid.what color should a brake fluid be?clear?

 

Best way I can describe, it should be a kind of golden color (think of a Pilsner beer color).

 

Good maple syrup, nice and golden.

 

Just look inside the can of brake fluid you purchased to do the flush. It's that color.

It goes a little quicker if you suck out the fluid in the master before you start bleeding it at the wheels. I usually have a baster same as for a turkey that I use to suck the fluid out and then wipe out the inside of the master so it's as clean as possible before I fill it with new fluid and get to bleeding.

 

I cheat when I do it, go to the farthest wheel, pump out all of the fluid, fill the res and then start bleeding the air out of each and every wheel.

 

Hey, that works too. I'm lazy because I don't let any air get in there so I don't have to worry about creating a problem when I'm doing preventative maintenance !!
