Default a/c blower

I did a search and didn't find this, the blower starts out slow even on high speed. After driving for a while it will ramp up, never touching the speed control. On occassion it will work properly, does not matter if it is on automatic or not. Cleaned the in car sensors, new blower. Any ideas.

thanks for any help.

Do the A/C and recirc lights flash when you start the car?

they did but that was because of an unplugged sensor. this problem was there before any work had ever been done to the a/c system. Evap replaced.

Has the blower resistor been replaced?

no, but I thought if that was bad putting it on high it would not run at a lower speed it would turn off, unless it is some kind of variable resistor, I'm not sure never looked at it.

The resistor is only supposed to be for lower speeds but on the ECC models if to many amps are drawn the ECC module will drop the voltage some.

You could have a bad resistor.
