Changing the radiator fun
I changed my radiator on Tuesday. That project is not hard but there is a lot of fiddly stuff so it took about 7 hours. Putting the engine oil and trans fluid cooler fittings back on was the hardest part, the clips just don't go easy. I found that I really did not loose much oil or trans fluid. I re filled the coolant and took it for a ride and all good. I drove it for a two days with no issues. I was on my way home today and it blew off the lower trans cooler hose, what a mess. I was able to coast to the side of the road and shut it down before I could detect any damage. Got it towed home and then called around for new seals. The dealer was the only place that had them with out having to order them but they were very expensive. I replaced the seals and clips on the trans side and added 4 quarts of ATF and took it for a test drive and it seem ok. I am thinking of putting hose clamps around the retaining clips for added protection.
