check engine and tranny light on
97 850 non turbo. Just finished changing oil trap and got it all back together.
I fired it up and I have a Check Engine light and a flashing transmission light now. I checked and rechecked everything and all vacuum and plugs are connected. The check engine goes out after a restart but the minute I give it gas and come off idle it comes back on. Tranny light is always flashing as soon as I start. Is there something there related that could trigger both lights? I did not pull the TB as it was clean after wiping the inside down.
I am going to go have codes pulled in an hour but just wondered if anyone had ever seen this before or knew of a switch or plug I might have knock loose that is common on manifold pulls? Used new manifold gasket and all that.
Thanks for any input you might have, I will write more when I have the codes.

Well, I rann the gear selector from P to L about 20 times and the tranny light is off. I had the CEL code pulled and it gave a P0120 which I think is the TPS. Guess I will check the connector again. Anyone know how to test the wiring to the TPS? Is it 12 volts on 1 of the 3 pins?
Thanks,
Rob
