Cold start problems
New to the board, looks like some great info.
My problem. I have a 1997 850 GLT turbo 155,000 miles. I recently took it in for some work, they replaced the control arms, timing belt and the serpentine belt. Pick it up and bring it home, OK. The next morning, I go to start it and it sounds as if it quickly is going to start as usual. It does not, I continue to crank and no start. I then turn the key and keep it going and it eventually starts with me giving it some gas. The odd thing is, I can shut it off right away and it will then restart right up. It will also start and run fine for the rest of the day. I did change the distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs. It did the same thing the next morning. The car is currently back in the shop. Could the mechanic have hit something? Could the timing belt change affected anything? I am just looking for some help. I did not have this problem before the car was serviced. Thanks for your help.
