Default Does anyone work at a volvo dealer?

I just called Princeton Volvo looking to see if i could get my radio code and a part number for the keyless remote. They would not give me the part number unless I buy the remoted for 60 bucks and they also want to charge me for the radio code. I think this is total bull****. I called the volvo dealer in red bank and it was the same deal.

So, could someone please PM me with my radio code and the part number for the keyless entry remote?

VIN: YV1LW5716R2054325

They wouldn't even give you the radio code? That's strange, I've got my radio code from Princeton Volvo for free. I did however stop by in person rather then calling, but they were very friendly even though I've never done business with them before.

I don't know about the part number, but they should not charge you for the radio code, try stopping by instead of calling so that they can verify that you are indeed the owner of the car.

You can google a different volvo dealer. I have been dealing with one in Charlotte NC. University Volvo. Call them for 1 item at a time. Get the radio code 1st, then call back about the remote.

I believe there are 2 different remotes for these cars. The receivers are different. One receiver ends with the letters BIG. I think both remotes will work. I went to the junk yard and pulled a receiver that had a remote in the car and replace the receiver in my car and it worked for me. The big think is to get fresh batteries in the remote. It cost me $20

Both remotes wont work on same system. I got a remote from a 96 and couldnt program it on 94 and vice versa. I have both in spare now becuase none of those work with my 97 (the one i have now) but I am in Canada and wonder how much will it cost to ship them to you.
