fire trap

Where is the fire trap located on the 850 turbos? I was told mine may need cleaned but have no idea where it is

The turbo cars have no Flame Trap. They do however have a PCV system. Maybe you need to replace that.

It doesn't have a flame trap as RSPI said but it should have a PTC nipple. I thought I had a PTC on my non Turbo and I did some research. Turns out I have a Flame Trap. Google "Volvo 850 PTC" and you will see a list of sites on how to thoroughly clean it.
