Default Fuel rail spacers (uppers)

Hi all,

I had to change the fuel pressure regulator on my 94 850 turbo today. I was very careful prying the injectors up but lost some of those spacers in the upper part of the fuel rail (still have all the O rings). I went to the parts store to try to get a match but the original is a soft rubber that looks like a grommet. The proposed aftermarket looks like a hard plastic washer. Not sure if this will work anyone have any experience with this? I dont want them leaking.

thanks in advance.

I made the same mistake when working the fuel rail. It actually pivots (rotates upwards) in place after you remove the bottom end of the fuel injectors from their sockets. I was lucky and found some on a junker at a local yard. Volvo wants $$$ for each one needed so you can try the ones from the parts store but really check hard for leaks after you reassemble the fuel rail.

you can reinatall the injectors without them if you need to. If you want to replace them and have time to wait, FCP groton has them listed for $1.75 each.
