Headlight problems...
So I got my 850 two days ago, and found out the low beam passenger light is out. Today I opened the hood with the hope to replace it, when I saw that the old bulb had fried...and so did the harness plug, it literally broke in pieces in my hand, it was melted.
Should I expect that a fuse is out too?
For the moment I don't have time to wait for a new harness, the car needs to pass inspection, so I want to connect the wires to the new light bulb...question is which one is which. Yellow and Brown - how do I connect the wires to the new bulb? What happens if I connect them wrong?
I also decided to check my other low beam...surprise - the spring that is supposed to hold it - not there. So i can freely move it in its place - great for adjustment right?

I concur with Tech.
Also, make sure you have the right bulbs in there. IF someone put in high power bulbs and did not use a relay, the extra current draw can overheat the connectors and cause them to melt

I got one here, http://redirectingat.com/?id=42X204&url=http%3A//info.rockauto.com/RB/Detail2noTip.html%3F85813.jpg
I'd rather have been over at FCP, but didn't see it there. Maybe the guys in Groton will note the regularity of the fried socket and stock a few?
Best,
JR
