Heater hose question
Without thinking I'm a total idiot, can someone tell me how to disconnect the heater hoses from the engine bay firewall connector?
I've already taken out the two torx screws and the metal plate that cover the hose attachements, but how do you get the hoses out. I've tried squeezing the ears on the clear plastic clips and pulling, I've also tried compressing them and pulling, nothing works.....Help.
Also, I've disconnected the upper heater hose at the block, but where exactly does the lower one connect to? It looks like I will need to jack up the drivers side and remove the left front wheel and pull back the fenderwell liner. Correct, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Many thanks,
Glenn

You push in the plastic tabs and pull. They can be bears at times.
The lower hose should attach at the back of the Head.
Make sure none of the o-rings inside the Coupler come out when you pull the hoses out. If they do pay Close attention to them and install correctly.
No need to remove the plate either.

Tech,
You were right, they WERE a bear to get off, but once I got them off, I'm glad I took the trouble. the lower hose was starting to get pretty soft and needs to be changed. I just hope they go on a little easier than they came off!
