Question How much have you spent on your 850 the past year?

I have to confess over $1300. from fixing the damage from the deer to tires and a tune up. All in all it's probably closer to $1900 with gas and other things. but receipts add up to 1380 in parts.

but you really can't put a price on happiness right

LOL, you guys need another hobby. I think most people will spend about $75 monthly on average. My daughter just dropped about $500 in parts for her S70 GLT. She should be good for about 4 years other than suspension parts.

I'd actually be a lot worse if we hadnt just paid cash for the wife's 9-3 convertible. This next year will probably be expensive for me. Looking at ECU flash, new turbo, wheels, tires, springs, stereo system, and remote start.

Infamous heater core finally went, also did the timing belt, serp belt, ac compressor, and cooling fan. I am sure I paid for his vacation. Now the only current issue is the headliner starting to sag.

This thread got me curious on what I've spent on the car in the year I've owned it.

I know I'm missing a few things.

BOV W/ Samco hose $175
Short shift kit/intake pipe $256.00
-Install $40
N/A TB hose $50

I needed a back up car in June and bought this for $ 875, knowing that it needed many things. My thinking was -- back-up car (i.e. not a daily driver) I would rather do things myself than pay for it in the upfront purchase price. This Volvo has all options that were available (according to Volvo paperwork). Most options did not work though. Previous owner was that kind of person that you feel had 2 left hands -- everything that could be touched (and some) was broken / missing.

In the last 6 month I have spent about $ 1,500. I gave this Volvo a 12-month "renovate" timeframe and I think I will be spending another $ 1,500 in the next 6 months, but It will be brought up to shape. I hope though that this does not end up like my Mercedes where new projects (repairs) popped up at a speed greater that I could finish.
