i have an automatic 1994 volvo 850 turbo, and i was wonfdering if i can get a blowoff valve put on. can i do that?[sm=dontgetit.gif]

All 850 Turbo(s) have automatic transmission and 2.3L internals don't really like boost above 15 psi.

 

Blow off valves do not work on automatics. You will not hear the PSht sound.

 

why wont it make the psst sound that what i am looking for but i dont want that gay fake one that is a button your press to hear the sound that is fake[sm=bangbang.gif][sm=bs.gif]that sux

 

^I wish I would have paid attention to the convo, but it will not make the sound on automatics. I don't relaly know why but I think it is because the BOV releases pressure and on an automatic that pressure does not build up (?).

Or it might just have something to do w/ the automatic and the shifts aren't the same as manual and the sound doesn't come.

I love the BOV sound too, but it doesn't work on automatics..
