Default idiot smashed my driver side mirror

I got a driver side mirror asembly to replace the glass which some idiot smashed in Banff Alberta. How do you take apart the mirror assembly so I can change out the glass or change out the colred piece. I went to a junk yard and tried to take apart a few mirrors only to ruin them. Any pics or video would be awesome.

If you can, just replace the entire mirror, it's easier. I believe I had to unhook 4 clips and 1 screw. Not looking at one so it's hard to explain.

i have a full replacement. It is not the red color though. I see you can snap the colored piece off. How do you get at it without breaking the snaps. i do have the whole assembly just different color. Do you have any pics or video?

Here are some photos. The glass really needs to come off to get to the trim clips but you can do it if your really careful.
