Ignition Switch Mechanical Issue
Hi folks. I'm new to the forum.
There's a 1995 850 GLT NA engine, auto tranny for sale locally. $400. Runs "ok" (MAF faulty) but key has to be turned hard forward to start engine and turned carefully to shut of the engine but dash lights stay on. Battery then needs to be disconnected.
Ignition switch was replaced, car shifts from Park, Neutral, Drive just fine.
Link to key lock cylinder assembly replacement for the 70 series (two pics shown below):

Assuming this 850 has a mechanical issue (key cylinder or ?), does the 850 use the same parts as the 70 series and is the R&R procedure the same? OR, can one just replace the cylinder?
Thanks.

Shameless bump.
I've been searching and searching. Maybe I can word my questions better. For an automatic transmission 850 GLT NA engine.
If the ignition tumbler (cylinder) needs to be replaced, does one replace just that part or does the entire cylinder lock assembly require replacement? i.e. are there other parts in the cylinder/switch housing besides the cylinder that might mechanically interfere with the key turning the ignition switch properly?
