I'M SO LOST! HELP!!
Well, I took the valve cover off to check to see if the pistons/lifters were stuck and none of them were. I don't understand why my friggin' car won't start. Timing, spark, everything is checking out. I think that possibly the Knock Sensor and the Mass air flow sensor (computer says). If I replace these two sensors, what is the possibility that the car will start? Should I just sell the thing to a parts junk yard, or what?????
Yes! I've got it all. It all comes back to those sensors. Does anyone know of any ideas for web sites where it shows the different engine parts. I need to know EXACTLY where and how to get to the knock sensor to check and/or replace it. Also, if anyone could run over the syptoms of a shot Mass air flow sensor, that would be great, too. Thanks!!
If you unplug the mass flow then it should start if it is bad.
I haven't ever seen knock sensors not let a car not start.
I would not worry about the knock sensors now. I would worry about the mass flow.
