Default It's a start.

Visited my wagon today, my Dad and I were going to tow it up to the shop where it's at and wash the engine off and a couple other things. He decided to charge the battery for the day until I got there. Once I got there we hooked up the battery, it cranked but nothing. After a while of cranking he went and got the charger again, hooked it up, and after a couple tries the thing turned over!!!!

There's a fairly loud metal on metal slapping noise, we settled on a collapsed lifter because it's been sitting for a while and when we gave it a little gas the clicking didn't change, so we kind of ruled out piston/rod for the time being.

Maybe before claiming your car doesn't run anymore and sell it ridiculously cheap, try charging your battery!!!!

All in all, good day, I know that the engine works (still swapping it though), the engine components work, and the electricals all work.

1) the PO stated that the car had limped home with engine trouble, but other than that the car was fine.

2) the battery was dead and drained because it was sitting for more than 3 months with out a crank/run on it. batterys do that.

That may have been what they're add said, but the three or four times I went and looked at it they told me that they got to their driveway, it puttered, got it to the spot and it had died and would not start again.

It's going to be sleeping for the winter, I will go visit it periodically to keep conditioning the rear and passenger seat because they're pretty dry. The front seat is getting replaced. I have a couple things on their way for it, but that's a secret for now, I'll post pics when I get them. I'll give you a clue though, one of them rhymes with bem difty stix lech.

Yes it is. The engine wiring harness will hopefully be here soon. Then I need to install it and get it running properly.

Installing an engine harness sounds like fun. Ha. I was contemplating doing that, just to be safe. But since it started today, I'm not going to. But once the engine is out as well as just about everything else, I will be following all the wires and retaping and looming everything.
