Trying to pull this fuel pump on my 96 850 and have one of those god-forsaken things off but the other just wont come off. Saw the post about spark plug pliers but mine had no affect and bent. Anyone else have any experience in success in getting them off? When I took the one off the junk yard, had to cut them off and then they came off easily-- but i can't beat up this assembly...

Scroll down three or four posts and you'll find a picture of a tool I made out of a Stanley mini-nail-puller. At least in my experience, it makes the job simple.
