I accidently activated the theft prevention lock on my sc-811 today so now its just reads "off". I did a little bit of searching around and found a post on matts volvo site saying leaving the key in pos I for a while will reset it. Is this true? If not, how do i do it.

 

It's true. That will get you out of "off", but you still need the code.

 

i have the code, kinda a stupid situation actually. It prompted me to enter the code, but i was feelin lazy so instead of reaching into the glovebox to check it on my owners manual, i kinda just guessed.....2 times in a row....wrong. How long must i leave it in pos 1?

should the radio be on? if so im guessing itll display when its ready to accept codes again?

 

yeah.

 

Same thing happen with me, if the raido doesnt not come back to where it will take a code. All you have to do is disconnected the battery, after the battery is all hooked up again the raido should take your code.
