does anyone know how to test for a bad maf sensor?thank you

 

On my 850 and both my v70's I disconect the plug, if the car stalls the maf is good, I'll look it up on my vida asap and post what I findd for you.

I have an 850 GLE that i suspect thaat the MAF is defective.
I disconnected the senssor plug and the motor still runs.
Do you think the MAF is defective?

 

how is your car running with the MAFF plugged in? do you have any check engine light?

 

With the MAF cable plugged in the engine rev's up and down like crazy.
Witht he MAF disconnected it is stable. The check engine is on.
Didn't check if there is a code yet.
The engine keeps running with the cable pulled out.
I also have ABS light on and when the MAF cable pulled when braking the ABS engaged with no reason.

 

it is probably your maf sensor not doing its job well.first of all you might want to try and clean it first and see if that will help.get a maf sensor cleaner and try that first.not hard to do.also you might want to stop by autozone and get the codes.that would be of great help.check for vacuum leak too.check all your vacuum hoses and make sure there are noo cracks or brittled.as for the abs,if the light is on it is probably gettin bad
