I'm guessing that if you don't know about the obvious ways to add a couple horsepower, your car needs a stage 0 first.

Adjusting your wastegate actuator rod will get you a bit. Installing a Manual boost control will get you quite a bit.

don't do that unless you have a boost gauge. have you done a stage zero? A 'little to no money to make my car faster mod' can turn into 'quite a bit to a lot of money to fix my broken car mod' pretty quick.

cap, rotor, plugs, hoses/vac lines, PCV, and fluids. That's your basic stage 0. If you haven't done that in a while, after you put on a boost gauge and MBC and start playing with your wastegate, then you'll be coming back with these problems:

-"I installed a MBC but it only boosts to 8 PSI"
-"I'm getting a miss on cylinder 3 whenever I get on it"
-"My dipstick is smoking, what's wrong with my car"

I'm in the process of doing that with my 850 wagon that I just bought. I did the cap/rotor/plugs/plug wires, have the PCV system sitting in the garage (gonna do this weekend I think), have about 25 ft of vacuum lines that I'm gonna replace when I do the pcv system, and have inspected most of my hoses. Once that's done, I plan to replace the wastegate diafragm and then add a manual boost controller along with boost and afr gauges.

Everyone here is right on about that though, you want to make sure that your car is mechanically sound before you start trying to throw more boost into it...also, when you DO add boost, expect random stuff to break, such as couplers, hoses, etc.
