Many problems with my 850
So I have owned a 1995 Volvo 850 GLT Sedan, 5-speed manual, for a little over a year now. My car has just over 240k+ miles on it and I am now just starting to have issues with it.
The first issue I am having is a weird 'Resistance' when driving. This problem mainly occurs when I let off the accelerator, the car will then feel like it wants to pull on the rear of the car. The problem also happens when holding the accelerator, but not as much.
The next issue I am facing is that the car will occasionally turn off, almost as if it is stalling, but it will very quickly turn its self back on. This only occurs when driving and only happens about once every few weeks.
If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I have no records of past service towards the car as I am the fourth owner of this vehicle. The only service I have done to the car is oil changes and changing spark plugs, as well as my car getting diagnosed with the 'Lawnmower Syndrome' a little over 6 months ago.
I appreciate any feedback.

Have you checked all of your vacuum lines? Just for peace of mind, I would do the timing belt, water pump and tensioner. Also, do the PCV glove test

I had an identical car that was leaking oil from the cam seal under the distributor. Every once in a while the ignition would just shut down due to oil flooding and then it would recover. That's one idea anyway, and it's super easy to fix. I've since figured out it's not all that unusual, either. You might a hefty oil leak if this is the case.
In fact, the reason I had the car was that it was offered for $450 and it was a 5 speed, so I thought I might like to fix it. Would not run. The seller thought that the timing belt had broken, but in fact the rotor button was melted due to internal distributor fire. Easy fix.
