Default Misfiring

Hey guys, I own a 96 850R and have been having some misfiring issues. Last week it started misfiring on the highway and when I got into the city it got worse. I had to hold the brake and accelerate just so it wouldn't stall at red lights. The misfiring happens as soon as I accelerate and when idling. I just replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires, all from FCP. I took it for a ride and it drove fine but after driving for about 10 minutes the misfiring was gradually returning. I assume FCP pre gaps the plugs so i didn't check them although I should just to make sure. Also plug #4 (left to right) was drenched in oil, not sure why or what's going on there.

Thanks

Check the gap on your plugs...set to .026. I know thats not factory but it should solve the problem.

I don't think the plugs are gapped from us to be honest. Unless they are genuine Volvo ones. Check the gap first, then look at the wires, cap, rotor and coil to make sure everything is good.

If one of your plugs is covered in oil, I'm thinking you might have bigger problems than a simple tuneup are gonna fix. I hope its nothing major.
