My 850 Died Last Night
Thanks alot guys. I'm sitting here ready to bid on the S70 T5 and then I read that you would go with the R. My son would too. Here is a picture of the S70. If I can get it for less than about $5500 I MIGHT go with it instead. The bidding is at $4550 right now, and I don't bid until the final two minutes. All the people bidding right now are just jacking the price up.

That was too weird. I bid $5,001.00 with about two minutes left on the auction and it said I was high bidder. I thought I had won the auction, but the screen would not refresh. Then it showed like $6400 and it ended at $6,600. It would have been a great deal at $5,000 but I would not go higher. Looking more and more like the yellow R for me.
I found an Independent Volvo mechanic not far from the Used Car Dealer that has the car for sale. I am giving him $60 for a pre-purchase inspection of the car. Hope he finds that all is well. If so I am flying to Chicago to get my yellow T5R this weekend. I'll let you know what he says.
You won't believe this too. Yesterday the flight I wanted from Columbus to Chicago was $112, and today the exact same flight is $425. I will probably fly SW into Midway, but the cab ride will be almost as much as the flight.

Nice one brotha. Let us know what you think when you drive it for the first time compared to the reg. 850. I would still reccomend keeping your 850 for parts. You will save a ton of money in the long run for random parts that would cost a lot. If you don't want to keep the car I would still probably reccomend parting it out. BTW way to make a great decision. Now you, your son, and all of us are thrilled.
I am so sorry to disappoint you guys, but the car turned out to be crap! Over 2/3 of the car had been painted, the paints didn't match and there was overspray everywhere. Sunroof was messed up and the A/C was recycling. Probably going to need an evaporator. There were other problems too that I don't remember. The paint alone is all I needed to hear. At least I spent $57 to find out instead of going all the way to Chicago.
Here is a nice one in Tenn. A bit more pricey, but real low mileage.
