I'm planning a trip to Dallas to make my last effort to get a motor for this R sedan. A buddy want to buy it but it does need a motor.

Anyone have any idea of what my odds are of finding a good motor in the Dallas area? I know they have a few Pick-N-Pull junk yards there, just hoping that I have a better chance there.

Man, I can get a motor from Pull A Part for $150. Those places want $600+ for a motor. Not willing to pay that price.

 

OK, do any of the yards in Texas keep inventory?

I am a big gambler. The Pick-N-Pull inventory says there are about 23 in their yards. I'm sure there are a few other you pull salvage yards around.

The trip will cost me about $130 in cash. Hopefully I will find one and a few other goodies that I can use or sell.

 

Found a motor that I think is good. Back home now, will deliver it to the guy that's going to put it in tomorrow. I don't have the time or lift.
