Motor isn't the problem. I don't see how the engine would cause something like this. Replace the hoses, get a cap for that vac port.

If you are experiencing a loss of power maybe check into the compressor bypass valve on the turbocharger if it is worn out your car will have these symptoms:

Symptoms of torn or failing factory CBV's are:

-Delayed boost developement or low boost across the board
-Fluttering or surging when closing the throttle when in boost
-Erratic boost development

Id say give it a try I found my information on IPDUSA under the performance section
Best of luck

Yes, I just had this motor put in not even six moths ago. I will not put in another but, I will put that kind of money in to do upgrades and I don't think I'll spend 2000.00
Turbo 250.00
Exhaust 365.00
intake manifold and throttle body I already have 00.00
Tune 4-500.00

Okay I'll explore that avenue after the hoses get on actually I'm going to do the hoses then if that won't do the trick it's going to the shop Thursday or Friday. I will post the update though. Thanks guys this has been a learning experience and a real pain. I know more now about the turbo system than I did before.

On the underside of the hood there is a Vacuum Diagram. You should follow it and make sure things are connected according to that diagram. It cost $ 0 and you will probably learn double about your car.

About the open vac port -- the Diagram will tell you what goes there.

There is always at least one port that is left open for accessories. I have two open ports on mine.

Yes. I have 2 ports capped on mine too. But guess I found when I went through this exercise myself after I bought it -- I had 3 devices hooked wrong, one of them was the PTC, one was the Turbo Control Valve, and can't remember the 3rd one.
