New Brakes?
I just had new rotors and pads put on my 96 850 glt.(front) The cost was $280.00 plus $20.00 to clear serv. code and engine light. They found codes for long term fuel trim issues. Don't know what that means... Anyone? Anyway they removed the mass airflow meter cleaned it and replaced it. Can anyone tell me what all this means? Also brake pedal seems much softer than before and during a rain shower on my way home from the shop I tested the brakes at about 25mph and front passenger wheel locked up first. Is this normal? Thank you, to anyone that can help.

What does softer than normal mean? Easier? Going closer to the floor?
You can have lock-ups when going less than 25 mph. It doesn't matter which tire, the one that looses traction first will lock up first.

If it's going further to the floor something is wrong and you should make an appointment immediately to have it looked at back at the shop that did them. You either have air in the system or something wasn't put back together right and it's causing a problem. The pedal should be the same or a little bit firmer with new pads and rotors.
I wouldn't worry about the fuel trim question unless the code returns. Since the MAF was cleaned and the check engine light is off wait until or if it comes back on and what code it sets the next time before you waste your time playing what if.

some people dont know that cars with abs need to be worked on a little different.. like when you go to compress the piston of the calipar you need to open the bleeder valve first or you can mess up the abs system which will in turn make the brakes feel weird and make the pedal go closer to the floor...
Thanks for the feedback. I also noticed the abs /tracks light that used to be intermittent now is on all the time. I planned on replacing the module but now after the break job I'm wondering if the actual abs sensors have been tampered with inadvertently.
What year do you have??
Did you go back or call the shop that did the work and ask about the pedal going closer to the floor. It may be something they overlooked and they would correct for free.
You can pull the wheels and inspect and clean all the sensors hoping you correct whatever is wrong but it's just easier to read the codes so it points you to the problem. ABS function will not return until the light is reset and stays off.
