Default Newbie from Baltimore

Hi All,
I just bought 1995 850 GLT Wagon. We're happy to get our dream car.

The car is a bit shaky in the morning (or when its park long enough) and took a while to heat
it up. Also, the radio is not working and has 'CODE' sign showing and the dealer said that I could get the code from Volvo dealer.

Any info will be great.

Thanks,
Dan

Is the check engine light on.

Get the code from local Volvo dealer.

I moved this to the proper section.

Welcome to the forum.

Please go over the following thread & the owner's manual and make sure that the scheduled maintenance has been followed, especially the timing belt & its pulleys & tensioner.

Good luck,

What do you mean by shaky? Perhaps your motor mounts need to be replaced.

Regarding the heat, is the thermostat functioning correctly at all times?

Tech,
Yes the check engine light is on.

Red,
I brought it to mechanic to check what needs to be replaced/repair and now it's not shaky anymore.
I dunno what they did, maybe just tightened something to theengine.

The thermostat is working OK.

And, another thing, the A/C is not working on 1 to 3. It's on if I put it on 4. Temp is working fine.
Hopefully, I dont have to change the whole thing.

Need guidance.
thanks alot.

I would suuggest a good tune up as a starting point. You also need to get the code read and cleared to turn off the check engine light. It will also point you to any rtemaining issues, or at least what casued a problem in the past.

Thanks for the infos.

I'm in Baltimore city, Charles Village. I see a lot of Volvo here (esp. 850 Wagons).
