Question OBX Install-96 850R

Any advice or things I should know or look out for regarding the obx install?
any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Gasket or no gasket? if so what are the dimension for the bolt pattern between the dp and hot side of turbo? should i make my own?(have gasket paper material with metal inside of it-seems to be of quality)

I'm installing a new TCV, OBX Exhaust system, O2 spacer, new silicone hoses and will adjust the waste gate. (hopefully tomorrow) Just installed oem plugs.

heres a pic of my R. Excuse the brightness its taken from a crappy cellphone.

Boxpin; where'd you get that? Never seen a gasket between turbo hotside and downpipe; stock or otherwise.

There is a metal gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo but that one is optional; really not necessary. I put one on mine but that's me. IPD has them and probably the dealer. But if you're not pulling the turbo...

Just put obx on my 855T; tooooo loud IMO; esp the drone. As soon as i get the right parts from jegs, it will going to the muffler shop for "surgery"...

badonis: so I assume you're going catless? Do you have any other mods?

Boxpin where did you get that I seen it on a different post but could not figure out where to buy it. I installed the Obx system and found no gasket between the turbo and dp

I installed the OBX system damm... it def sounds nicer but a bit loud...and apparently I'm the only one noticing it, others don't seem to mind.
The clamps worry me (they look weak) and will replace them next weekend along with the rubber pieces the exhaust hangs from.
Fitment was OK and I need to bend and shape a heat shield that is to close for comfort.
The TCV and the waste gate adjustment made a huge difference and i feel like I have a proper turbo sports car. the automatic trans shifts very precisely and the car definitely definitely feel more spirited. Very happy about the upgrades.

no other mods except IPD sway bars. I bought the car maybe 6 months ago

The clamps are OK, but the bolts provided with them are cheesy and will break or strip out on you. Go to the hardware or auto parts store and get better ones asap. You used the stock rubber donuts to hang the exhaust from; didn't you? Unless they're rotted they should work fine. And yes, a bit of heat shield bending is necessary.

Your engine should breath much better now; time to add a tune or even bigger turbo, if you're so inclined..

I happen to find it on the ground at the junk yard. Someone pulled the turbo and left it.

You can get one here: https://ardideas.3dcartstores.com/Tu...K24_p_199.html
