odometer/abs module correlation?
1997 Volvo 850 Base 2.4L
I know this is probably silly to those of you who are familiar with the system, but my efforts to learn its inner workings have been fruitless. I am wondering how the odometer gears are driven? are they recieving a signal from the abs module? I have a car here that has a speedometer but no odometer and the ABS light is on. Of course I have no way of scanning it, as I work at an aftermarket shop and do not have the Volvo scanner. Any way to manually read the codes? any help is GREATLY appreciated

RE: odometer/abs module correlation?
No way to read the codes manually.
The ABS module sends signal to the speedo cluster. But if the speedo works and the odometer doesn't most likely the gear is broke (Very common)
If it was the ABS causing the issue then the speedo would not work either.
