Thinking about buying it, any idea how much work is involved here and what's likely to be wrong?

1996 volvo 850 glt wagon. 124k miles on the odometer, runs good drives slugish, great on gas, transmission serviced last week, air flow meter replaced, axels replaced, full tune up done 1 month ago(spark plugs,wires,cap,rotor,fuel filter,air filter, oil change) fuel pump relay replaced, tires are brand new, brakes were replaced 2-3 months ago(rotors and pads). the car has power heated seats, power windows doors and locks, but what it comes down to is the fact that this is a volvo they are not called the safest cars on the road for nothing

the car is acting weird i was told it could be the gear position switch, fuel pump, clogged catalytic converter, among other things i dont have time to deal with it so so im letting it got for $850 cash i want it gone now cant afford 3 cars right now the car drives ok? when its warmed up

 

It could be many things but for $800.00 I don't think you can really go wrong.

 

The total of the items replaced in this car as per your list will be higher then the price you are getting it at and once you get the required things done it will be quite a reliable car.

 

Sounds like a good deal to me if you can spare the time needed to sort out its issue(s)
