I have just joined and have posted in the new members section tonight.

I have decided to venture into the world of "European Cars" for the first time.

It is a 1996 850 sedan, automatic, non-turbo.

It has a rear spoiler and a sunroof

It is a beautiful glossy deep burgundy colour.

The panelling is pristine

I have fallen in love with it.

I want to get it for saftey reasons and cruising ability

I am a single father with 2 kiddies and drivers these days seem to be driving more and more dangerous on our roads.

It changes gears beautifully, blows no smoke, starts well (it WAS a cold engine BTW)!

I just feel that European cars seem to be able to hold their own as they age compared to other cars like the Fords, Toyotas and Holdens (Australia)

 

welcome aboard, singledad! Hopefully you have read the writeups here on purchasing one of these cars and understand everything. If you dont, PLEASE ask here before you buy - nobody here wants to see you get a bad deal. That being said, you will find the 850 to be a very reliable car, provided you take care of it and keep up with standard maintenance.
