Name the place. Why are you trying to protect them.

Call your state consumer hotline and the better business bureau. Find out if the oil change place belongs to any local business group and contact them as well. I did that with a car problem once and it was completely taken care of.

You probably didn't do any damage if you did not go far with too much oil. Did it smoke like crazy? That's what old cars did when you put too much oil in them, just burned it right out. I did it once on a 78 Jeep Wagoneer.

Definiteyl report the place that did it though. If you start developing oil leaks they need to be held liable.

Glad I always change my own oil even though most everybody I work with thinks it crazy. My answer is always it takes me an hour or more to run out and have it done somewhere and I can do it myself for a lot less money, be done in 20 minutes and know it's done right.

Man that sucks, sorry to hear it. But why didn't you change your own oil after you rebuilt the motor..... what's up with that
