Removing the dash Pad (To replace the instrument panel lights)
#62
You have to pay close attention with the front edge, it fits between the plastic rail and rivets up there. Work with it, it'll go in fine.
There are usually 2 screws along the bottom of the dash pad edge that have to be removed. They may be under the felt.
Here are my instructions with pics if anyone needs to see them: http://www.atthetipwebs.com/technolo..._volvo_850.htm
I have been battleing cluster problems for the past 4 months, so I have taken mine off about 5 times.

Removing Dash pad & LED lights
One warning, if not already figured out by someone else... I have a slider on the left side of my instrument panel to adjust the lights in my dash pad. LED lamps normally can't work with that, they are mostly on or off. So when you replace your dashboard lights with LED's this no longer may work. In fact, you probably will switch off all lights completely when you move the slider to low-light setting...any experiences here?
