i am still looking :-( i have come across another one :-) but is very high mileage it has 216.000 miles on the clock it has some history with it but is this mileage a problem ???? this highs i have hade is 150.000 on the clock and that was a MK2 golf

Is it 216,000 miles or Kilometers? I would probably stay away from it if it's miles, but KM's that would not be very bad at all. It looks to be in good shape and if the price is right you could take a chance. The price should be fairly low though if those are miles. On right hand drive is the clutch on the left or right? I think it would be strange to drive a right hand drive car, but it being a five speed would be even stranger.

 

Too much mileage???

Inpect the color of all fluids...

Coolant: Bright Green or Yellowish Brown??
Oil: Yellowish Clear or Black??

If oil was changed at regular intervals, mileage won't be a problem. Other than a tear-down, engine compression test is the only way to know for sure.

 

On right hand drive the clutch is in the same place as left hand drive. First 3 letters of the alphabet backwards Clutch; Brake; Accelerator.
