Default suspension question

All:

My local volvo guy said that the strut stabilizer(s) needed to be replaced, and I've looked for these parts online, but I think they're called something else.....any ideas as to what he can be talking about? Thanks again!

Im not sure what he means. Im guessing either the spring seats or the sway bar links.

Did he tell you where they are on the car?

No, he didn't say where they were, just that the shocks and struts were weak, and that the strut stabilizers needed to be replaced. Everytime I hit a pothole, or any other kind of uneven road surface it jars the entire front end...respective to either side...and this is with stock suspension. I'm going to try and get a book today and start the diag process. Thanks for the help.....feel free to shoot any ideas my way.

Sounds to me like the sway bar links. You should chenge 'em anyway if you so the struts/spring seats.

I just changed my entire front end suspention... struts, sway links, bushings, mounts ETC.... car rides like a dream now... I even added a strut tower brace and it seems to help as well.. I still need to drop it off for an allignment, but it drives great now.. no more suspention creeks.

Sway bar end links are cheap and easy to replace. Prob. about $10-$20 each. The require a little bit more work to replace and run about $35

I've ordered a set of sway bar links from fcpgroton, will keep everyone updated on the progress. BTW, they were on ebay and got them less than the catalog price......I love Ebay!
