Tansmission problem?
Hello everyone, I think my tranny may be slipping, But I figured i'd go and post it to see what others think...
This is my 96 Volvo 850 GLT...
The other day i was driving down the highway and i went to pass a car, So i switched to the left lane and pushed the pedal down and started gaining speed. Up around 4500 rpms i notice my engine feels as if its at its limit, it doesn't sound any different than before. But its power seems to decrease drasticly (In sport mode) and once it hits about 5000-5500 engine spikes there, stays as it it hit a rev limiter (doesn't bounce up and down tho) and the tranny feels as if it clutches. So i'm at a loss, In economeny it doesn't do it. It drives normal and with more power than sport lol. So i dunno if its really the tranny, or spark plugs, or maybe my coil. I know its not my wires cause i replaced those not too long ago with IPD performance plug/wires. And the coil for that matter.
Anyone able to shed light on the problem?
