Default Thnk I have exhaust leak - help!

I have an OBX exhaust on my car, and lately have begun to smell faint traces of exhaust inside the car. I think I remember hearing that the v band clamps that come with it arent the greatest, and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me. I've had the exhaust on the car for around 2 years now, and this is the first issue I have had. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Are you running cat less...?

best way is to seafoam the car and look to see where the smoke leaks out.
You should replace those with regular v-band's when you can because the supplied ones blow, the bolts stretch and will eventually snap.

Yeah the exhaust smell is most likely that.. is it getting warmer by you?

But I would change those clamps anyway LOL

I had a similar problem. Very bad exhaust, actually more burned oil smell, solved the problem by replacing the oil filler cap with one with a soft (not hardened) gasket.

"Yeah the exhaust smell is most likely that.."

MattyXXL, Are you thinking broken clamp ??

Ibified, I'd also check out the manifold gaskets and turbo to manifold and turbo to downpipe. Never thought of using seafoam for a leak check but that's a pretty good idea. Also the oil fill cap as the smell could be escaping blow by being drawn in through the heater/AC air intake at the firewall.
